3:30 AM – Pickup from Delhi
The tour begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Delhi. A comfortable, air-conditioned car will be arranged for the journey to Agra. The drive via the Yamuna Expressway takes about 3 to 4 hours, so leaving early ensures you reach Agra in time to experience the Taj Mahal at sunrise, one of its most picturesque times.

6:30 AM – Arrival in Agra
Upon arrival in Agra, your guide will meet you at the designated point. You’ll head straight to the Taj Mahal to catch the first light of the day.

6:45 AM – Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise to witness the breathtaking view as the sun rises over the iconic white marble structure. The Taj’s beauty at dawn, with the golden light reflecting off its surface and the quiet surroundings, creates an almost ethereal experience. Your guide will explain the history, architecture, and emotional significance of the monument, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.

8:00 AM – Explore the Taj Mahal Complex
After the sunrise viewing, you’ll explore the Taj Mahal’s intricate designs, gardens, reflecting pools, and the tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. The peaceful early hours provide an ideal opportunity to capture stunning photographs and learn about the monument’s architectural details.

9:30 AM – Visit Agra Fort
Next, you will head to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Built from red sandstone, this fort once served as the residence of Mughal emperors and offers incredible views of the Taj Mahal from its various vantage points. Your guide will explain the historical importance of the fort, including the story of Emperor Shah Jahan’s imprisonment there by his son, Aurangzeb.

11:00 AM – Visit Mehtab Bagh (Optional)
If time permits, you can visit Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden across the Yamuna River. It offers a stunning, less-crowded view of the Taj Mahal from the opposite side, perfect for photography and quiet reflection.

12:00 PM – Return to Agra for Lunch
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant offering Mughlai cuisine, or choose a restaurant with views of the Taj Mahal.

1:00 PM – Depart for Delhi
After lunch, you’ll return to your car for the journey back to Delhi.

4:00 PM – Arrival in Delhi
You’ll reach your hotel in Delhi by late afternoon, completing the Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour.
